MG B 1965 (C) ROADSTER

First registered in 1/9/1965 this particular MGB is the one to own being an early Chrome bumper version built in the MG factory with the 5 bearing engine, before British Leyland rubber bumpers and American market mods changed the character of the car. The car has had a full renovation over time with a new Heritage body shell and rebuild in the late 1990s and replacement Ivor Searle engine in 2012. Since then over £22,000 has been spent on renovations and maintenance on this car to bring it to its current MGOC 2 (top) condition, i.e. one stop short of concourse condition 1.

Paint colour is MG Midnight blue with black leather interior and original dashboard. The car looks original and runs better than it did when new with the addition of an electric fan and electronic ignition, radial tyres and other sympathetic additions to the specification.

Last full service with MG Specialist garage in October 2024….. garaged and used only in the dry on a frequent basis. This lovely 60 year old car is fun to drive and could be a daily driver. It represents a great chance to enjoy one of the most popular 2-seater sports cars of British motoring history.

Kept in top condition this car is likely to increase in value over time. It also helps that its classic designation exempts it from Road Tax and MOT and the insurance cost through MGOC is very reasonable….
